September 29: Young Bulldogs Bowling Event
The Young Bulldogs had a little get-together for its members at the American Club. Many thanks to the following for making the event possible: Ping & Liz for hosting the event; Terence for entertaining the kids with balloon twisting and juggling; Terence & Grace and Erina helping look after the kids; and Shawn and Erina for the logistics/support/general organisation.

About the Young Bulldogs. The Young Bulldogs caters to Yalies with young kids. Its activities are family-centric/family-friendly and serves as a platform for Yalies and their kids to interact with each other. Families take turns to “host” the events, e.g. come up with the concepts/ideas for the events. Administrators (Shawn and Erina) are at hand to help the host families conceptualise and operationalise these ideas. To give the parents some space to chill out, we will also invite a small number of younger Yalies to join in and help look after the kids. Events are planned to be held once a month. The bowling event of 29 September 2007 was our inaugural event, with some 20 adults & children attending. Currently, we have 14 families on board – totaling 25 adults and 25 children. On average, we expect 6-8 families to attend each event.
Privacy. As we’d like to preserve the privacy of our members, we will only put up limited details of Young Bulldog events on the Club website for record and information purposes after the event. The blurb you see above is what you would expect when we share what we do.
Interested Parties. Families not already on the mailing list interested in participating can contact the administrators Erina Lie at erina.lie@aya.yale.edu or Shawn Tan at yaleclubsingapore@gmail.com for more information. We are also on the look out for younger Yalies keen to help out in logistics, in areas such as event planning, child care and child entertainment.
